How would you describe your role in one sentence?
I manage mineral and leasehold assets after purchase.
What was your path to your current role?
I’m a third-generation oil and gas professional. I completed my undergraduate degree in Accounting and Energy Management from OU before working as an in-house AOR landman in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Kansas for 10 years. While working as a landman, I went to law school and earned my JD. I then spent several years in a role supervising data integrity projects and pre-sale due diligence.
What is your favorite part about working at Echo?
Echo is solution-based – we actually fix problems.
What is your favorite part about your role?
Being the one to fix things. I love figuring out an issue, working through a solution and putting it into motion.
How have you managed to stay focused during remote work?
By keeping a schedule. Anytime I varied from a structured schedule, I lost productivity.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
Travel. I love visiting new places.
What is the number one item on your bucket list?
Visit Italy.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
You’ll never regret doing the right thing.
What was the last book you read?
Malcom Gladwell’s Outliers: The Story of Success.
Where do you like to volunteer?
Special Care. It’s a United Way funded daycare that nurtures children with and without special needs. It’s truly an amazing place.
